Our interactive laboratory test result website is designed to provide users with comprehensive and personalized information about their test results. The website features an easy-to-use interface that allows users to access their test results, as well as personalized recommendations and guidance on how to improve their health outcomes based on those results.

The website is divided into three main sections: the summary page, the category page, and the recommendation page. The summary page provides users with a quick overview of their test results and identifies any high-risk markers that require attention. The category page offers detailed information about each test marker, including previous and current results if applicable, as well as research on related topics. The recommendation page offers personalized guidance on diet and lifestyle changes that can improve health outcomes based on the user's specific test results.

Pain point

Most of the test reports available in the market are designed primarily for healthcare providers and can be difficult for patients to understand. However, we recognize that patients have a right to understand the results of their tests and to be informed about their health in a way that is clear and accessible.

To address this issue, we have developed an interactive report that is specifically designed for patients, with a user-friendly interface that is easy to navigate and understand. The report presents the results of each test in a clear and concise manner, using graphics and plain language to help patients understand their results.

Goal

Our goal with this report is to empower patients to take an active role in managing their health, by providing them with clear and understandable information about their test results and actionable recommendations for improving their health. By doing so, we believe that we can help to improve patient outcomes and ultimately contribute to a healthier and more informed population.

Personalized Test Result Summary

The interactive online report will provide a summary of the user's test results and highlight any high-risk tests. The summary page will be easy to read and will include graphs and numbers to help users visualize their results.

The summary page will highlight any high-risk tests by displaying them in red. The website will provide information on what the high-risk tests mean and what the user should do next. For example, if a user's wheat IgE level is high, the website may recommend other food to replace wheat or make lifestyle changes to improve their health.

In addition to the high-risk tests, the summary page will also display any tests that are outside the normal range. These tests will be displayed in yellow, indicating that the user should keep an eye on them and follow any recommendations provided.

Comprehensive Test Results

In addition to the summary page, the website we are developing will also include a separate category page for each individual test. This page will provide users with a detailed breakdown of their test results, including any high-risk markers. If a high-risk marker is detected, a warning icon will be displayed to alert the user.

Each category page will be organized into sections, with each section corresponding to a different aspect of the test results. For example, there may be sections for Meat, seafish, grains, and leaky gut.

If the user has previously taken the same test, they will be able to compare their previous results with their current results. This will allow them to track their progress over time and identify any areas that require improvement.

Personalized Dietary Recommendations

The recommendation page on our website will provide users with clear and personalized guidance on what foods to eat and which ones to avoid based on their test results. This page will be designed to help users make meaningful changes to their diet that can improve their health outcomes.

The page will be divided into sections based on the specific markers that were tested. For example, if the user's cow’s milk IgA levels were high, there may be a section with recommendations for foods that can help replace and avoid.

What I’ve learned

As a designer creating an interactive report for food sensitivity, it is crucial to approach the task with empathy and a patient-centered perspective. Put me in the shoes of the patient and consider how I would like to receive the report if I was one. Ensure that the report is visually engaging and easy to navigate, presenting information in a clear and understandable manner. Additionally, think about integrating personalized recommendations based on the test results into the report. These recommendations should be presented in a positive and supportive tone, aiming to empower the patient to make informed decisions about their diet and lifestyle.
